Rogue Jesusfish
Writing, and why it happens everywhere but here.

Why the lack  of updates?

Because I have been working on a number of other things.

Chief among them is a story that I’ve been writing, based on ideas for a game that I won’t ever develop.  All of my nice writing has been focused into putting my (nearly countless) ideas in to pretty collections of words.

In addition to that, I’ve been catching up on schoolwork.  That’s done now, which is great.

Also Also, I’ve been playing a bit of Braid.  Braid is a (somewhat) indie-game, made by the outspoken Jonathon Blow, who I consider to be a somewhat irritating fellow.  I’ve played through the first 2 and a half worlds of Braid, and I just don’t want to play any more of it.  I understand that you are supposed to figure out how the game mechanics work, but it was just too tricky, especially considering that a third of the controls don’t actually show up in the ‘control’ option in the menu…

The Left 4 Dead downloadable content is coming out tomorrow morning, (Tuesday the 21st) and Olympus will be hosting another party, with guest appearances by a at least one person that I never see anymore, so that should be great.

I finally, (after about a week and a half of waiting, I believe,) got an email from the camera-fixit company, saying that my camera had arrived, and that they would fix and ship it back to me within 10 business days, which is cool.  It would appear that the work on it will be free, which is also cool, considering the thing broke 3 days after I got it.

tumblr, blogspot, and other bits and bobs

After seeing google friend connect in action tonight, I was just about ready to jump ship to Blogspot.  Sadly, for some reason, Tumblr is unable to export or import blogs, and is unable to utilize google friend connect at all.  If I wanted to make it work, I’d have to get a domain name (something that I have, admittedely, been considering doing) and a hosting plan or a dedicated server, (Something I have not been planning on doing until Olympus has a working webpage)  So, it sucks, but I’m just going to have to stick to disqus for right now, which, while it works just fine, simply isn’t designed to do what I want it to.

I’m finding out that all these people I know have blogs, and I really enjoying real-lifey people’s writings, so that’s been pretty neat. If you are reading this, perhaps you should start a blog for me to read as well.

Finally, I’m becoming addicted to twitter.  It hasn’t been a good five minutes if I haven’t replied to all of my followers and friends.
